He was born and raised in Athens. He graduated from the American College of Greece and was admitted to the Athens Medical School. She received her bachelor's degree and after her field service she specialized in Gastroenterology. He was subsequently educated at the University College London Medical School at the Royal Free Hospital where he specifically focused on gastrointestinal motility (esophageal / rectal manometry / biofeedback). He holds a European Gastroenterology diploma. He is a member of the Hellenic Gastroenterology Society and President of the Department of Colon and Anus. She works at the Metropolitan General Hospital.

Dr. Elias K. Nastos was born in Arta where he completed his secondary education. He was admitted, after examinations, to the Military Medical School and received the degree of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

He then enlisted in the Navy where he served for many years in key positions:

• Director of the Salaminos Naval Hospital of Pathology 1981-1982
• Director of the Department of Pathology and Gastroenterology of the Naval Hospital of Crete 1987-1989
• Director of the Naval Hospital of Athens, 1989-1991
• Director of Gastroenterology Clinic Naval Hospital of Athens 1993-2002
• Deputy Director of the Athens Naval Hospital 2002-2005
• Director of the Athens Naval Hospital 2005-2007
• Health Director General / GEFTHA 2007-2009

He was exhausted and left the Navy with the rank of Vice Admiral and received the title of Honorary Director General of Health / General.

He specialized in the Pathology Clinic of the Naval Hospital of Athens and in the Secondary Educational University Clinic of the Evangelismos Hospital where he received his Specialty of Pathology. He then worked at the University of Athens Nephrology Center at Aretaioion Hospital where he specialized in dialysis.

He then moved to New York, USA where he specialized in Winthrop University Hospital, LI, NY and obtained his Gastroenterology Specialty.

He is a PhD student at the University of Athens.

He has participated in many publications in Greek and international medical conferences and in publications of Greek and foreign medical journals.

He was president of the Hellenic Pancreatic Society.

He is a member of the Greek and American Gastroenterology Society.

He holds a European Gastroenterology diploma.
